This weekend’s rugby schedule begins Saturday with some top ranked games at Hope Field, 751 S Washtenaw Ave, with a division 3 High School playoff match between Wapiti/Taft and Hope Academy at 11:00 (10:15 arrival). The HS match will be followed by two premier Midwest playoff games. The first, pitting the Chicago Lions vs Metro (Minneapolis) at 1:00 and the second Palmer vs Columbus at 3:00.

On Sunday, both middle school squads travel by bus to Naperville (Commissioners Park, 3704 111th St, Naperville, IL 60564) to play in a festival. Game times are 1:00 and 3:00, with a Fresh/Soph game available at 4:00. The bus will leave from Revere Park at 10:45 on Sunday and return to Revere following the festival. Directions to avoid construction on northern section of Rt 59:

o Take I-355 South to 75th Street exit

o Take 75th street West (right) to Rt 59 and turn South (left)

o Take Rt 59 South to 111th Street and turn West (right)

o Commissioners Park will be on your left in less than a mile

o Take I-88 East to Eola Road exit and go South

o Take Eola Rd South to Montgomery Road and turn East (left)

o Take Montgomery Road East to Rt 59 and turn South (right)

o Take Rt 59 South to 111th Street West (right)

o Commissioners Park will be on your left in less than a mile

 Field 1 for U14 is Field D adjacent to the main pavilion building

 Field 2 for U12 is Field H on the West side of the park

 There are two lightning detection systems in the park

o All players/coaches/spectators must vacate open areas and move to shelter if the alarm sounds.

o Main pavilion is primary shelter. Vehicles are secondary shelters.

o The system will sound an all-clear (3 short horns) when safe to return to the fields

 Crusaders coaches have contact information for the Park District Police officer on duty if needed

 Athletico will be on site to provide medical assistance for players

 An emergency AED (Defibrillator) is located in the main pavilion

 $2 for players/coaches: Pulled pork sandwich from Sharko’s BBQ plus bottle of water

 Sharko’s rugby support… stop in at Sharko’s BBQ on the northwest corner of Rt 59 and 111th street
