The University of Illinois Men’s Rugby Alumni have lined up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for three (3) people (and their daughters/sons) to meet the Captain of the All Blacks Richie McCaw!
Meet Richie McCaw Auction
All proceeds are to be donated equally to:
For Everyone Foundation & Chicago Wapiti RFC
The meet and greet will occur on Sunday morning, Nov 2nd in downtown Chicago (the day after the big match). Due to Richie’s demanding schedule, the meeting will be limited to a total of 10 minutes. While a short meeting, it is a unique private event with photo opportunities, autographs and a few questions. We sincerely appreciate Richie taking time out of his busy schedule this weekend to raise money for charity.
Additionally, The U of I Alumni have secured an autographed All Blacks Jersey signed by Richie McCaw Dan Carter (hold title for most points scored in test matches) and Sir Graham “Ted” Henry(ABs coach that led them to their World Cup win in 2011). This great jersey will also be included in the auction.
In order to bid on this fantastic opportunity, please click: Meet Richie McCaw Auction
to register for the auction. After you register you can bid and follow the auction via your mobile phone throughout the week.
Bidding will close at 8:00 PM on Saturday night, so make sure you plan accordingly. The winners will be notified on Saturday night and will be provided with the details at that point.
The For Everyone Foundation was founded by Richie McCaw, Dan Carter and Ali Williams in 2009 to help others at the grass roots, community level by providing the resources necessary to get the job done. The trio frequently travelled around NZ with their odd-shaped ball and saw that many communities were struggling to raise funds for relatively small projects – like fixing a playground or changing shed, resurfacing a school pool or BMX track or simply adding hoops to the basketball court – which would make a huge difference to its members, encourage active participation and raise community spirit. They fund small projects between $500 and $5000 that are often difficult to find funding for but often mean the most to the people who benefit from them. Their priority is to fund projects that can be completed in full with a grant of under $5,000.
Good luck to all the bidders and let’s raise some money for two great organizations!
The link (Meet Richie McCaw Auction) also allows for charitable donations to both organizations!
